Ashwagandha is like a long hug from a friend and a hot, sweet cup of tea all rolled into one. A shoulder to lean on, a whisper of encouragement that you have the strength to keep going.

Ashwagandha is for the tired but wired. The person that has too many balls in the air and suffers from the mental and physical effects of it. Feeling nervous, feeling low and overwhelmed . Getting home from work and feeling too tired to cook dinner but then having a second wind at 9pm and not being able to go to sleep. These people might also suffer from funny aches and pains and their fatigue may be exacerbated by recurrent low iron.

Whilst ashwagandha is native to India, it grows well in the New Zealand climate, with a similar growth pattern to its cousins tomato and cape gooseberry. The ashwagandha in this formula was grown by me in my little suburban garden.

Its blended with the warming, stimulating organic spices cinnamon and ginger to make a beautiful spiced tincture.
